Because I ran unopposed, my name won’t appear on the ballot on November 7, 2023 (Idaho Code section 50-405(2)(b)). I’m honored to continue to serve our city.

Boise City District One Councilwoman
I’ve had the privilege of representing West Boise as your District One councilwoman on the Boise City Council since January 2022. I’m the first person to hold a seat dedicated to West Boise. I’m running for re-election.
West Boise (Boy-see) is home. I’ve lived here for 20 years — raising my children and making lifelong friends. I’ve seen how Boise has changed and why we need a strong West Boise voice in the city that frankly forgets we, too, are part of Boise.
We need someone who understands that our kids go to West Ada and Boise Schools and that we may shop in Meridian, dine in Eagle, and hike in the Boise Foothills on the same day. We live on the west end of town and love our city and community just as much as those who can see the Idaho Capitol building from their homes.
I’m your voice — representing to ensure West Boise isn’t forgotten and who has the courage to speak up for you. Join me in continuing to fight for West Boise as your District One councilwoman.

Public safety is my number one priority. I support public servants who put their lives on the line to serve and protect. We need more public safety resources in our growing community, not less.
I’ve been an outspoken supporter of Boise Police and Firefighters. When the Mayor proposed a budget that didn’t add one new firefighter or police officer for our growing city, I called it out.
While city leaders question the commitment of our police and firefighter professionals, I back the blue.

I’m a budget hawk. Too often, the government doesn’t recognize where its money comes from: you.
I shed light on decisions that would be buried in 1,000-page city agendas. I oppose government-funded trips to Europe, buying trailer parks, and diverting funds from the core city services.

Housing prices have tripled; wages have not. We need homes on Boise budgets so our kids and grandkids can live here.
Housing prices skyrocketed because more people want to live here than there are places to live. Lowering prices is a supply-and-demand issue.
Boise cannot solve this issue on its own. We are a metro area. Boise taxpayers should not pay the sole burden.
I oppose the city becoming a landlord. The city should not own and operate housing. The city should be working with the development community and nonprofits.

When the city let the 4th of July Parade die, I rallied a group of business and non-profit leaders to bring it back — and secured a small amount of seed funding from the city.
Thousands of Boiseans watched this year’s parade as we celebrated our freedoms and our Founding Fathers and Mothers.
Bringing the parade back was one of my 2021 campaign promises, and I’m delighted the parade is back.

We love Idaho for its wide open spaces. In a landlocked city like Boise, we need to preserve spaces to run, walk, bike, play, and enjoy in all areas of the city, not just the North End. I made the motion to support an ordinance that protected parks owned by the city.

West Boise needs its fair share. We are the only area of the city without convenient library services. I’m championing this at City Hall and working with a group of West Boiseans who want to ensure the city recognizes we need amenities like other areas of Boise.

Courage
I have the courage to speak up and offer a different opinion at City Hall.
Common Sense
We need more common sense and less bureaucracy in government. I’ll continue to be diligent, ask questions, and push back when we can do better.
Conservative
The city needs to hear a conservative point of view in a sea of progressives.
Civil
We need more elected officials who are strong, without being mean-spirited. I’ll listen and be respectful even when I don’t agree.
